Enterprise arrives to start the war games, and after a short battle, they disable Asteria. First knocking out her shields and second her weapons systems. It wasn't a fair fight...
Enterprise next simulates a boarding action by boarding through both the shuttlebay and the air locks. Asteria's crew fights valiantly and even manages to defend themselves.
Despite the AI core being strictly off limits, Lieutenant Alfo enters the core and hence activates Roberts' secret program that vents all the atmosphere in the AI core. This leads to his death and the end of the scenario.

Jackson demands answers, furious about the death of his officer. He is forced to leave by Blake, but first he claims he has lost faith in Roberts and then leaves.
