Blake, Mitchell ; Lieutenant Commander ; Station Asteria
« on: March 28, 2016, 11:23:22 pm »

Rank: Lieutenant Commander
Name: Mitchell Blake
Age: 57
Species: Human
Position: Commanding Officer, Station Asteria

Personality: Blake is a quiet, yet commanding man whose very presence can silence a room. Whilst he has private interests and matters, he lets these be known to very few people and has few acquaintances and even fewer friends.
He does have a sense of loyalty to those around him and makes a concerted effort to make them feel safe.

Likes/ Disklikes: Blake is a man of order and likes it when things around him are ordered, the reverse is his main dislike.

Bio: Blake is a British man born in the city of London in 2380.
He was a quiet child and excelled in academic subjects, especially physics. He also became an expert in working with computers and was a strong advocate for the introduction of AIs, a topic that continues to be controversial.
After taking a masters (from Oxford) in both topics, he leaves at age 25 (2405) and enters Starfleet academy.

The academy is a lot more of a struggle for him and it sends him further into his shell. He also struggles applying his degrees to space travel a little during the first two years and almost drops out during the third but is convinced to carry on by a tutor and passes all his exams.
Doctor Cooper, the Dyson sphere expert takes interest in him and brings him aboard the USS Dyson as a civilian specialist for half of his final academy year. After Blake graduates, Cooper wants him aboard as his assistant chief science officer.
It turns out that Cooper was in fact an Undine Infiltrator and as the galaxy descends into chaos, Blake continues to serve aboard the USS Dyson, now as the chief science officer.
He retains this position for 6 years when he is approached by Director Maria Trent, the head of Starfleet Intelligence.
She finds his work fascinating and has him work on a problem for her. Blake solves the issue easily and in the process brings down the 'True Way.'

He becomes an intelligence officer and is assigned aboard the USS Aurora as the head of intelligence for a year, whilst Trent monitors him and his work. She is very impressed with him and in 2417, she reveals that she has been grooming him for a major project.

Blake is placed aboard Station Asteria as her executive officer and is part of a conspiracy that overthrows the current commanding officer and has the station assigned to Starfleet Intelligence, who places him in command. The start of their mission starts here.

In 2431, the original experiment and tests that they were conducting leads to a much bigger secret, a secret that has been known to a select few, that dates back over 200 years and that SI has been searching for, for a very long time...
