My interpretation:
//So, one Christmas there was sooo much cake, there I was, chilling eating some cake, when a member of my family (or a friend, or pet, not specified) decided it would be funny to let off a party popper, this thing must have been made wrong, seriously wrong, it morphed into a firework magically as it popped, I spent the next week in hospital.//
That is seriously the first thing I thought of when looking at that...
